Beneath a cursed town on the edge of Western Australia, a buried giant sleeps...

“Where the Giant Fell” transports the audience to a small town on the coast of Western Australia where the ground itself carries secrets that permeate across generations. This remote community is home to a magical landscape haunted by loneliness and longing, where its occupants retreat into myths and fairytales. We arrive as the sun sets on a brutally hot summer’s day with Abigail (Amy Murray), returning to the town she thought she had escaped. She’s here to uncover the truth surrounding the disappearance of her father, but she isn’t the only one searching for answers. Josèphine (Jennah Bannear), blown in by ocean winds, arrives to uncover the secrets of her past. Bea (Reilly O’Byrne-Inglis) is consumed with the recovery of her lost lover. Lonesome Jen (Laura Cameron) searches for freedom in the bottom of a beer while drinking away another night-shift at the pub. Watchful Pete (Gala Shevstov) patrols the beach, waiting for a giant…

We are pleased to welcome Perth composer Drew Krapljanov onto the project for the creation of an original score.
